Piano has always been a huge part of my life! I began taking piano lessons when I was 4 years old and I was practicing 2-3 hours a day by the time I was 10 or 11.  I believe that Piano lessons do not only teach children to play the piano; they teach hard work, confidence, discipline and many other valuable lessons.

I've had 3 different piano teachers and each experience was very different.  One was very intense and included A LOT of tears, another was very laid back and didn't challenge me enough, but the third teacher taught me to work hard and excel while enjoying it at the same time.  He also understood that we all have different strengths, weaknesses and life experiences.  He allowed me to play the "big &  dramatic" classical music that I loved, while also giving me bits and pieces of sweet melodies.  Piano lessons are not one size fits all, to help the student develop an appreciation for music, we need to individually tailor it to each student.  Some students will go on to become great musicians, while others will be happy if they can play a couple hymns or their favorite rock song.  I look forward to helping your child learn to love the piano.
